Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2, 2026

1. The service

Cadenza provides business-management software for music and voiceover studios, including client management, invoicing, bookkeeping, file delivery, and payment facilitation through Stripe. Cadenza is a software provider, not a bank, payment processor, or party to agreements between a studio and its clients.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account, for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, and for all activity under your account. Each studio account is an isolated tenant; you may only access data belonging to your own studio.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Plans are billed monthly through Stripe with a 7-day free trial. You may cancel at any time; access to paid features continues until the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

4. Payments between studios and their clients

Card payments from a studio's clients are processed through the studio's own Stripe connected account under Stripe's terms, including the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Cadenza never stores card numbers and is not responsible for disputes between studios and their clients.

5. Your content

Studios retain all rights to the recordings, files, and data they upload. You grant Cadenza a limited license to store, process (including watermarking), and transmit that content solely to operate the service. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you upload.

6. Storage and retention

Storage is limited by plan. If you enable auto-expiry, files past your configured retention window are permanently deleted after advance warning. Deleted files cannot be recovered.

7. Acceptable use

No unlawful content, no attempts to access other tenants' data, no interference with the service, and no use of the platform to launder money or evade payment-network rules.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cadenza's aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. Cadenza does not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice; bookkeeping outputs are informational.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination you may export your data for 30 days, after which it may be deleted.

10. Changes

We may update these terms with reasonable notice; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
